I love babies. I love how they smell, how they always look like they are the boss (which in truth, they really are), and how they light up a room.
When we first met Jya, we knew it was another first we will never forget. I met her mom in college—we knew the same people and we would say hi but we never got the chance to really know each other. It's safe to say though that I heard a lot of good things about her and they still stand true now, 9 years later. It's kind of funny because the first session with Jyanna, was like an afternoon catch up for her mom and I. And it's the same with her dad. It felt like it wasn't the first time Phillip and I spent with them.
We had two sessions with Jya. The first day wasn't actually bad, but for first time parents and for first time baby photographers, we knew there was a bit something more to learn. The second day, we'd like to believe was the charmer. We got it done in an hour, albeit with lots of giggles in between, a nappy (or lack thereof) malfunction, and a teeny-tiny bit of adorable whining. Jya totally schooled us who's boss—she is. With a cuteness factor like that, I don't think saying no to her is ever going to come easy.
JJ and Gay-gay, thank you for choosing to share this experience with us. Your little girl is one lucky princess to have both of you as parents.
